We have many updates and everything you want to know about our Summer Fair 2024. Get ready to read exciting news!
Tickets for our Summer Fair 2024 will be available for purchase starting TODAY! Children enjoy free entry, while adult tickets start at £2. Children can get a 'wristband' for unlimited play on the inflatable and selected attractions. We will also be selling bags of tokens to use as payment for the some attractions. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the event page. We recommend purchasing your tickets online for faster check-in, but you will also be able to buy tickets at the door on the day of the event.
This year, we're excited to introduce a Wellness Workshop to introduce strategies for naturally managing anxiety in young children and promoting family well-being. Please note that this is a ticketed event with limited availability. The workshop entrance fee is only £3, in addition to the adult standard entry fee. You can connect with experts of holistic and natural healing.

Raffle: get ready for our fantastic raffle with amazing prizes, including a chance to win £200 in cash! Look out this week for your booklet of 5 tickets priced at just £1 each. You can buy additional tickets at the school office.
Food court: come and have lunch with us. We will have delicious food options and food trucks featuring BBQ, pasta, Greek cuisine, drinks and sweet treats.
Bouncing castle, pony ride, victorian swings, shooting gallery and more.
Entertainment (free for all): dance presentations, tai chi class, cricket class taster, football class taster, and live music.
Face painting is only £4; you can book your slot online and secure your spot. Very limited availability!
Opportunity for local business:
If you're interested in having a stall at our event, please email us for further details. Also, take advantage of the chance to showcase your business, products, and services in our summer booklet, with 600 copies distributed during the summer fair to our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity to boost brand visibility in the area.
Estate Agent Advertising Board.
Churchill Estates is generously supporting the PTA by promoting our event. They have kindly offered 40 garden boards featuring the summer fair details to be placed at your doorsteps. If you would like to support the PTA in promoting the event, please send an email to committee@yardleypta.co.uk with your full address and your full name by the end of this month. They will place the estate agent advertising board on the last week of May and remove the following week after the event.
Volunteers needed!
As you can imagine, there is a lot of work behind the scenes, and we need as much help as we can get. At the moment, we need support with the following:
Advertisement: Please help us spread the word about our event by sharing it on your social media platforms to increase visibility within our local community. Please invite your family and friends to join us for a fun-filled day! Share the event page on Facebook (https://fb.me/e/5muvVBAe3). We have printed 5000 flyers that can be distributed in local libraries, cafes, and community halls. A pack of 100 units will be available at the School Office on the last week of the month. Please feel free to pick up some packs and distribute them in your local area (after obtaining permission, of course). Additionally, if your child participates in sports, kids clubs, or other extracurricular activities, please ask for their support in promoting our event. They can share on their social media and newsletters or distribute flyers to their clients. Let them know that the funds raised will go towards creating a new library and improving outdoor facilities for the nearly 500 children who attend our school. During the Event: We are looking for volunteers to support the execution of our event. Your help is invaluable, whether you can dedicate a few hours or join us for the entire event. Please email us (commmittee@yardleypta.co.uk) with your name and your preferred time slot. Volunteers are needed for various tasks such as assisting with online check-ins, selling tickets and tokens, organising queues, collecting tickets at attractions, supporting stands, and handling sales and donations. Let us know what you enjoy doing and how you'd like to contribute. As a gesture of appreciation, all volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket for the raffle and free entry to the event. ☐ Event Set Up (08:00 to 11:00) ☐ Shift one (11:00 to 13:00) ☐ Shift two (13:00 to 15:00) ☐ Event hours (11:00 to 15:00). ☐ End of the event (15:00 to end) ☐ All day (08:00 to the end)

Yardley School Celebrates its 85th Anniversary!
This month, in celebration of our school's 85th anniversary, we are reaching out to former students and teachers to support our heritage project (check our website). Easy Fundraising Updates.
We are pleased to share that we are making a steady progress with Easy Fundraising, having received £193 so far! If you haven't joined yet, please consider doing so. It's free for you, but we receive a donation every time you shop online. This month's campaign focuses on turning your weekly grocery shop into a contribution for our school. For those new to online shopping, here's an incentive: Tesco will donate up to 6%, Morrisons up to £3.50, Sainsbury up to 7%, Asda, Ocado and Waitrose up to £2.50.
