The countdown to our Summer Fair 2024 has officially begun! This newsletter updates the raffle, the Wellness Workshop, the general meeting, and more. We hope you find it informative and exciting!

If you want to have a stall with us, please email committee@yardley.co.uk. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, as we post weekly there (@yardleypta).

Summer Raffle.

Imagine being the lucky winner of one of these exclusive prizes, including £200 in cash! And that's not all; we're still working behind the scenes to secure even more exciting prizes! So, don't miss out; get your raffle ticket from the school office. It's only £1 per ticket, and you can grab as many as you like! Invite your grandparents and extended family to purchase as well; all donations will directly support the PTA Projects that benefit our child!

Willow Farm

Here's a sneak peek at the fantastic prizes we've secured so far!

  • A Leyton Orient (child shirt size) signed by last year’s squad.

  • 2 tickets for Willow Farm.

  • 2 tickets for Role2Play.

  • 2 "Day Ticket" passes to Barleylands Farm Park (Family of 4).

  • Several vouchers for martial arts classes by Shojujitsu Karate.

As we gear up for the event, we would greatly appreciate it if you could follow the instructions on the Raffle slip note. Once you've filled it out, kindly drop off the money and envelope at the PTA Mailbox as soon as possible. Your promptness will help us in our preparations.

Wellness Workshop

We are delighted to present the event agenda in collaboration with Gaia Shakti. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet Alpana Vaidya, a homoeopath and Bach Flower Practitioner, and Katie Holden, a Herbalist, Iridologist, and Naturopath. The workshop will concentrate on naturally managing anxiety in young children and promoting family well-being. We recognise that transitioning to a new school or exams can be unsettling for the entire family. That's why we're providing you with access to top experts to help support and manage your family's well-being. You will only pay an additional £3 for the adult entry fee.

Please make sure to get your tickets on our website. The event's profit will also go towards our PTA Projects. Visit our website to learn more about our initiatives. Click here.

Workshop Details:

Location: School Hall

Time: 1-2 pm

Date: 23/06 - Yardley Summer Fair.

Discover the benefits of Herbal Remedies and Homeopathy, learn how to soothe anxiety and manage family well-being naturally, understand methods to prevent, lessen, and resolve everyday kids' illnesses, and explore nurturing holistic health habits.

Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and promote a healthier lifestyle for you and your family!

PTA Annual General Meeting and Updates

We are pleased to announce that we are officially registered as a charity. This means we will have more opportunities to apply for grants and sign up for Gift Aid.

Please save the date! Our annual general meeting is scheduled for Friday, 13/09/24. We will present our financial reports and updates on the constitution. This is an excellent opportunity to join the committee as a member. We are currently looking for volunteers to support us with our events.

Volunteers Opportunities:

The Summer Fair is our biggest event, and we will need all the support we can get. So, please send us an email even if you have 1 hour available (committee@yardley.co.uk). We need your support for set up the event on Sunday morning, crowd control, run the PTA Stalls, collecting tickets for the attractions, support with guests checkin, wrap up and cleaning at the end of the event.

Fundraising Efforts:

Neighbourly logo

Our efforts to bring the new library and outdoor learning project to life continue.

Our page on Neighbourly has been approved, and we are now connected with B&Q. This means we can receive supplies from them free of charge whenever they have materials available. Hopefully, we will get items for our kitchen gardening, planters and more.

We would like to encourage you to consider donating £5 monthly to support our projects. It is a small contribution, but it has a massive impact on the projects we want to bring to life. If you would like to donate monthly, please email committee@yardley.co.uk.

EasyFundraising.

Are you planning your holidays for this summer? Please don't forget use Easy Fundraising to book hotel, flights or travel providers. We get a donation every time you purchase online without any additional cost to you.

if you haven't joining, considering doing so.

We would like to thank all our 105 supporters. So far, we have raised £316.79 in donations, and last month we received our first deposit of £81! Easyfundraising will pay us whenever the provider pays them first. All the donations are contributing to the library revamp, which, as you know, is greatly needed.

October Silent Disco

We want to hear from you! Join the forum and share your thoughts. Ask your child about their favourite playlist and what would make this event truly remarkable for them. Parents and guardians of children with special needs, please join the forum to help us make this event inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. The event is planned for 17th October.

Get Adventurous!

Epping Forest's website has a fantastic summer pack with suggestions for getting adventurous and playing outdoors. It is a fantastic resource for keeping the whole family entertained.

We also loved the 20/20 - Creativity Challenge the Epping Forest District Museum suggested.

I hope you enjoy our updates.

All the best. Cristina Tosta PTA Chair.
