About us

Yardley PTA is a Parent-Teacher Association founded by Leonie Aldeman, Mike Sparrow and Heidi Muhlbauer in October 2017. In September 2023, Cristina Tosta assumed on the role of PTA, along with Roger Obianyo as co-treasurer and Dilan Sevdali as secretary. In April 2024, Rebecca Bold, the School Office Manager, joined the team, bringing invaluable expertise and commitment to our mission.

The PTA brings together parents, guardians, and teachers to support the education and well-being of our children. We believe that working together can create a strong and vibrant community that benefits everyone.

We welcome everyone from Yardley Primary School in Chingford to join our PTA and participate in our activities and programs. Together, we can make a positive impact on our school and our community.

Our Mission

As parents, guardians and teachers, we aim to create a community that benefits our children's academic and personal growth.

We believe in providing resources, programs, and initiatives that enhance our students' educational journey, fostering a love for learning and achievement.

Our Vision

We believe that working closely with parents and guardians can create a supportive and enriching educational environment where every child can thrive.

We encourage open and transparent communication between parents, guardians, teachers, and the school community, ensuring everyone's voice is heard and valued.

We celebrate the rich diversity of our school community, recognising that it is a source of strength and a valuable learning experience for our children.

Transparency Objectives

By prioritising transparency, the PTA can create a culture of openness and accountability. This, in turn, strengthens the PTA's effectiveness and fosters a positive relationship with the school community. Our objectives are:

  • Establish open channels for communication between the PTA leadership, members, and the wider school community.

  • Encourage feedback, questions, and suggestions to create a collaborative environment.

  • Keep members informed about the PTA's goals, objectives, and ongoing projects. Encourage active participation and involvement by sharing opportunities for volunteering and contribution.

  • Share regular updates and announcements through various communication channels, such as newsletters, emails, or a dedicated section on the school website.

  • Communicate how funds raised through PTA events and activities will be allocated. Specify the projects, programs, or initiatives that will benefit from the fundraising efforts.
